ADVOCACY AND ECCLESIASTICAL RELATIONS

In the tradition of the prophets, Moses and Jesus, we continue to speak truth to power. We also
witness changes within systems and policies that improve the quality of life for the vulnerable.
Highlights include:

  • Monitoring the Rockville Mayor and Council sessions by Executive Director.
  • Supporting the Rockville Human Services Advisory Commission.
  • Coordinating the Caregiver’s Coalition of Rockville that oversees human service programs
    and advocates support from the City.
  • Participates in the Rockville Chamber of Commerce with the goal of developing partnerships
    between business and human service programs.
  • Established a Business Roundtable Group as a way to give back to the business community
    for its support of CMR.
  • Lobbying the General Assembly in Annapolis through our membership in the Maryland
    Interfaith Legislative Committee.
