HOUSING PROGRAM
Established 1991
Providing permanent, supportive housing and case management services for formerly homeless men and women.
JEFFERSON HOUSE
Established in 1991, Jefferson House is the first personal living quarters in Rockville to provide permanent supportive housing to men experiencing homelessness. Residents have completed a residential treatment program before moving to Jefferson house where they will receive case management services to help tackle their personal barriers to self-sufficiency. As they progress, residents return to work, take classes, or volunteer. Jefferson is designated a historic home, located in downtown Rockville. It has been rented to Reach by Rockville United Methodist Church for almost 30 years and and houses up to six men.
ROCKLAND HOUSE
The Rockland House opened in April 2014 thanks to the generosity of supporters in the community and funding from Montgomery County. It provides permanent supportive housing for women who have experienced homelessness. Supportive services and case management are provided by Reach's housing program director. Like Jefferson, residents are expected to work, take courses that provide job skills, or volunteer as they progress toward their return to self sufficiency. Rockland House can house up to five women and is located in the Twinbrook section of Rockville.

HOW TO GIVE HELP
Provide Time
We always welcome volunteers to help with exterior and interior house maintenance and yard work. Workshops to offer skills that will help our residents move closer to self sufficiency are another way to help. Please find information about volunteer opportunities by using the "Volunteer" button below.

Provide Funds
Our Housing Program is part of the Community Reach of Montgomery County (Reach) non-profit organization. Reach is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service, under tax ID #52-0910334. Donations made through the Donate button below, or checks sent to Reach with "Housing" written in the memo section, will go directly to supporting the work of Housing. We are grateful for any level of support.

Provide Goods
Donations of cleaning products and household supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, dishwashing soap, dishwasher or laundry detergent, sponges, and similar are always desired. Books, newspaper or magazine subscriptions are welcomed. Smarttrip cards to help defray the cost of transportation to grocery stores, volunteer opportunities, work, or classes are also welcome. Please contact the Reach office at 301-637-0730 or Info@CMRocks.org to arrange to drop off or have your donation picked up.
